Guidelines for Poster Presentation

Please read the following poster presentation guidelines carefully and prepare your poster accordingly.

Poster Size and Mounting
The poster size is 0.9m width x 1.2m height in portrait orientation. Please refer to the below Technical Specifications and Poster Template to prepare your poster. Your abstract number should be displayed at the top left-hand corner of your poster.  Please make the font easily readable from the viewing distance – point 24 or more (for text content) is recommended (larger font is expected for titles, authors and sub-headings). Please include your abstract number, abstract title, authors’ names,affiliations and countries/regions in the poster.

Mounting supplies (cellulose tape, adhesive Velcro and blue-tack) will be available at the poster display area during the set-up period.  Push pins are NOT allowed.  You are also RESTRICTED to use staples or to stick the self-adhesive posters directly on the poster board since it is extremely difficult to be removed.  NO computer or other multimedia facilities will be available at the venue for poster presentation.

Please send the final layout of your poster (either PDF, jpeg or tiff file) to the IWA-ASPIRE 2019 Conference Secretariat via email to abstract@iwaaspire2019.org on or before 15 October 2019 for the preparation of the Poster Evaluation Session by the Scientific Programme Committee.

Location & Time
The poster section will be located at Room S421 and its foyer on level 4 of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from 31 October to 2 November 2019. The allocation of your poster panel will be advised at the conference venue.

Poster Set up and Removal Schedule
Please set up and remove your poster according to the below schedule:

Presenters are encouraged to stand by their poster for discussion during the morning and afternoon coffee breaks during the Conference, and the Poster Evaluation Session on 31 October 2019 during 17:45 – 18:30.  Best Poster Awards would be presented at the Gala Dinner on 1 November 2019. 

Any remaining posters will be disposed. Undismantled posters after the dismantle time will be handled by the venue workers and the removed posters will NOT be returned to the authors.
