Prof Onyx WAI is a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). He obtained his B.A.Sc in civil engineering from University of Windsor, Canada and M.S. and Ph.D. from the Ohio State University. He joined PolyU in 1992. He is the Immediate Past Chairman of the International Association of Hydraulic Engineering and Research (Hong Kong Chapter).
