Dr Capewell is the Head of Water Cycle Innovation at the Water Corporation in Western Australia and has over 25 years’ experience with planning, design, operation and optimisation of water and wastewater treatment plants and process technologies for the urban water industry.

Dr Capewell has post-graduate qualifications in chemical engineering and business management. He has strong governance and assurance skills as a current Director of Water Research Australia and is the Chairman of the Perth Seawater Desalination Alliance and the Southern Seawater Desalination Alliance in Perth.

Recently, Dr Capewell’s work has focussed on large-scale asset optimisation, the technologies and economics of water cycle resource recovery, and next generation water utility service delivery models.
